Christmas....Only just a LITTLE late

This past Christmas we decided to stay in Rexburg since Brian didn't get much time off for work. I was pretty excited to do our very own Christmas this year. I couldn't wait to see my kids' reactions christmas morning, but first I'll start with Christmas Eve. Growing up Christmas Eve was my absolute favorite. We would have tons of appetizer foods, read and act out the nativity, and santa would come and bring us each a present. My Mom always liked to invite another family over to share in the festivities. So I decided to carry on these wonderful traditions. We invited the Mousleys over and it was SO MUCH FUN. We just love you guys. First we stuffed our faces with way too much food (I was too busy eating to get any pictures of the food). Then we read the nativity. Usually we dress up and have each person walk in as their part was read, but someone had the genius idea of using the nativity set that we had since we lacked the outfits and the gumption. Ava and Blake loved having their little characters. Ava was so cute constantly telling us which one Jesus was. So cute.

Santa was a little busy to come bring us presents himself, but he was very nice and dropped them off earlier. Guess what he brought...

Sorry the picture was so blurry. We were too busy trying to shoot each other

Thank you Bonnie, Jordan and Ava for coming and spending Christmas Eve with us!

Christmas Morning
Blake was so excited when he came out Christmas morning. He went straight to his new easel and started drawing all over it. Here are a bunch of pictures from that morning.

Zoe liked to open her presents slowly

We took the kids to see Santa, but this was the best picture I was able to get. Blake started crying so Zoe thought she needed to cry too.

Christmas day we just sat around and played with our new items and lounged around in our pj's. That night we had Emily, Jordan and Jordan's mom over for dinner and games. It was a wonderful Christmas and I can't wait till next year!
