So this is what the front right garden bed looked like. Not so bueno. Overgrown bush. Crazy trees. Pine needles and weeds everywhere. It was a serious beast to tackle
I've actually realized that I like doing yard work. I can't believe I'm saying that. It took a lot of work to get all that out. (Getting tree roots out is something that I DON'T like doing) but it was so worth it. It'll be a lot easier to keep up with now.
I've got to give a big thanks to 2 of my friends that helped me save a TON of money. Wood edging like that is expensive. Any kind of edging is expensive and we needed like 25 feet. My friend Kathryn just happened to have that kind of edging that they were getting rid of. So I got all of that for $6 when it would have costed me about $40. Then the two plants were from Erica's brother who had started a nursery, but ended up going back to school. So he was selling them at wholesale price. Fantastic for me! So all of that for $22 when it would have been $70.
Now I just have to finish the other 3 garden beds...it may be a while before I post those.
